I was amazed when undergoing my studies with essential oils, they can really help with so many things.

Yes you have to know how to use them, dilutions and what to use for what. It can be a bit of a mind-field, but I am here to share my experience and expertise with you, to make it simple and something you can do easily at home. When looking at emotional health, it seems pretty intangible... but when we turn it round and see emotions as Energy, and a Vibration... this is a lot more tangible.

So to get our heads around it lets pick Anger, its a strong emotion- and energetically it is Hot, strong and depending what we are feeling angry about- we can feel it in different places in our body- so if someone cuts us of when we are talking and we can't express- we can feel it in our throats- if we are deeply hurt by a partner or friend we could feel it in our stomach, or heart. So what has this got to do with essential oils?

Essential Oils are made from the extracted volatile oils from a particular plant, shrub, tree, or flower. These are living things and, as with all living things, they have a vibration and an energy, unique to their species. This energy and vibration is harnessed in the Essential oil, and this is what they have been cultivated and used for, for centuries! aaaand how are they linked to emotions? I'm getting there! ... essential oils, along with plants, herbs and aromatics (spices like ginger) all have different properties and uses. so it is just a case of matching them, to bring emotions back into balance. Going back to Anger- We wouldn't want to match it with Ginger- as ginger is hot and fiery- we would want to pick something soothing, calming and cooling- such as Chamomile, or mint to bring it back to level.

Yes It will take time to understand what does what- heck- I'm basically a novice , there is tones to learn, but what you can pick up yourself to assist with yours and you pet's emotions, is enough to make a huge difference. and its something you are always learning and building on.

One of my favourite parts of the Herbal course I am undertaking, is when we do tastings. We pick a herb, make it into a tea, and sit with it, drink it, and physically feel its properties. it is such a beautiful way of connecting with the plants around us and understanding them. I recommend doing this (with guidance- you can't just do this with any plant)

My absolute Favourites to do this with are: Nettle, Mint, Chamomile, Yarrow, Betony and Mugwart

Here are some book recommendations, for you to be able to understand lots of oils and Herbs along with their uses: (Links to Amazon)
