Burdock Root Tincture

£7.00Price

Arctium lappa
Traditionally used as a blood purifier from the 18th Century, and as a diuretic, of which it is most useful for.

I see burdock as an herb which regulates hydration throughout the body. It seems to be a skilled master of water and oils, removing stagnation, directing fluids to where they are required.

Interestingly enough Burdock is known as the Bear medicine, and is inedeed named after such, from the greek Arctos meaning Bear.
The Oily Bear medicines stimulate the Gallbladder Liver, Thyroid and Adrenocortical functions encouraging the digestion and metabolism of fats and protiens.
Think about the bear and how it's very nature is dependent on the summer feasting and the winter hibernation- these functions and organs have to be optimised for the managment, storage and utilisation of these fats and protiens.

Phyiscally we can see how Burdock can be indicated for:
Those who are Weak and Malnourished
Dry conditions- Skin, Hair, Sinuses, Respiration, Constipation

Liver and Gallbladder Congestion

Kidney Stones

Water Retention
Boils/ Absecces
